Event Description

Calligraphy, the art of 'beautiful writing', has long been considered the supreme art form in China, Japan, and Korea, more valued than painting and sculpture.
It is ranked highly as a means of expressing visual harmony and culture.
This reflects the importance of the written word in East Asian cultures and allows for self-expression in the strokes of the brush.
Join Elvie from Culture Care WA for this calligraphy class to learn the basics of creating the cursive letters that make up this ancient art.
