Event Concluded

Event Description

Enjoy a free screening of a Taylor Media Documentary: Night Calling: How Yornitj, the masked owl, inspired Australia’s first owl friendly community in Margaret River.

Celebrate the City of Cockburn’s ‘Owl Friendly’ status this Biodiversity Month in conjunction with campaign coordinator Boyd Wykes.

Be entertained by these amazing birds and learn practical information on how to control rats and mice without harming owls and other wildlife in your local area.

Join us for a screening of the short film “Night Calling” followed by a talk by Boyd Wykes to find out how he and his fellow group of owl enthusiasts fight to protect Masked Owls against common rat baits and how the Owl Friendly Margaret River Campaign came to be.
