Join award-winning memoirist, teacher and researcher, Khin Myint for this interactive workshop to shape your personal experiences into either memoir or fiction.

You'll learn practical techniques through guided exercises and discussion.

You'll explore how to find your clear voice, handle personal material with intention and transform this into a compelling narrative.

Together, you'll move towards storytelling that feels meaningful. accessible and engaging. 

Whether you're just starting out or already working on a project, this workshop will help you to discover how your story, told well, can hold a readers attention and you'll leave with fresh work you can continue developing.  

Khin Myint is the author of Fragile Creatures which won the 2025 Roderick Award and was short-listed for the 2025 Premiers Book Award and the Prime Ministers Literary Award.

Khin teaches creative writing at Curtin University and enjoys leading workshps on memoir craft, narrative voice and writing from lived experience.
